2016 Collection Box Opening

COLLECTION BOX OPENING – Our Kapsa boxes were opened last Friday afternoon, some of our volunteers and 3 staff from the local authorities in Kas, who manage charities in this area, worked together to ensure they were opened in accordance with the regulations. Melek ensured we were able to keep working by providing a steady supply of cay, coffee and cakes!
It was too late to get to the bank on Friday but we were the first customers into the bank Saturday morning. The staff were slightly concerned when we arrived with a washing up bowl full of money!
A total of 15880.78 lira was banked (after the sterling, dollars and euros were converted) This was from 16 boxes!!!
