We are a group of like-minded volunteers who care deeply about the health and well being of Kalkan’s street animals and wish to promote informed and compassionate action to improve the living conditions of all Kalkan’s animals.

KAPSA works within the boundaries and guidelines of the Turkish law. We try to increase local awareness of, and compassion for the plight of the street animals, and to inspire and engage more local people to take part in, or at least understand our work. To do this our approach must be both innovative and culturally sensitive.

We have dozens of cats and dogs in Kalkan that need good homes. Despite the work we do in the community to educate people about responsible ownership, we still get many dogs and cats dumped in Kalkan each year. We rely totally on donations to fund our work with Kalkan street animals, which is why we have a number of ways for you to donate as well as various sponsorship programs.
