Puppies Mia and Sophia Want A Home of Their Own – Adopted
Mia and Sophia are gorgeous 8 week old pups who are now looking for a home of their own. They were dumped, together with their Mum, in one of the villages just outside Kalkan. Luckily for them, they were seen by one of our volunteer supporters who is in the area.
Caroline took the mum, now called Ruby, and her puppies into a safe area and has been looking after them for several weeks now. Ruby had a dreadful cough and there were fears she had kennel cough, but our vets found something even worse – poor Ruby had a massive hernia in her diaphragm and her internal organs were pressing on her lungs. Our amazing vets operated on Ruby a few days ago and she is recovering well, though it was a long and complicated operation. She is not out of the woods yet, but the vets are very pleased with her progress. We are crossing everything for her, she is the sweetest girl.
Meanwhile, Mia and Sophia are still with Caroline, now around 8 weeks old by the vets estimate and independent of Mum, fully weaned and ready to make a life in the big wide wide world. The girls are both confident, but gentle by nature and can be homed together or separately. A home in Turkey or the UK/Europe would be great for them, they are young and ready to learn. So, if there is a Sophia or Mia sized hole in your life, please consider adopting one of these two adorable pups. Mia is the white pup, Sophia the black & white and as you can see in the photos, both very pretty and playful young ladies.
