Winter Feeding Programme
February 2026 Update
£5-£15 will help by a bag of food this winter.... please dig deep and help our furry friends.
This winter, the street cats and dogs of Kalkan face their toughest challenge yet. As temperatures drop and tourist activity slows, their natural food sources vanish, leaving them exposed to the cold and hunger. They are relying on us—their community—to survive the long, harsh months ahead.
We Need Your Help To Keep Them Fed
The Problem: Cold and Hunger
Our dedicated team of volunteers works tirelessly, but the cost of feeding hundreds of animals throughout the winter is immense. We need to stockpile enough quality dry food now to ensure consistent feeding throughout the season. We need at least 500 bags of dry cat/dog food at a cost of £15 for a 15 kilo bag
Extreme Cold: Hungry animals are far more susceptible to illness and cannot generate enough heat to withstand freezing temperatures.
Vanishing Resources: The usual kindness of restaurant owners and tourists disappears in the off-season, making consistent feeding essential for survival.
The Solution: Feed a Friend for £15!
Your donation translates directly into life-saving nutrition. Every single pound helps us purchase the necessary large bags of food required to sustain our street feeding program.
Donation Level - Impact on Kalkan Animals
£15 Buys one full bag of high-quality dry food, providing numerous meals and keeping bellies full.
£10 Contributes significantly toward a bag, ensuring a week's worth of supplemental feeding for several animals.
£5 Fills a bowl many times over, offering warmth and energy when it's needed most.
Any amount Provides a vital lifeline for a hungry street cat or dog.
