2017 Calendar Photo Competition Winners

Here they are, the results you have all been waiting for. The judges have deliberated and chewed over the fantastic entries and after much teeth gnashing have decided upon the winners of each category. These are the photos which will grace the pages of the 2018 calendar and each of them is very worthy of their place. Our only regret is that there are only 12 months in a year.

Just a side note, the one category where we did not get enough entries to actually run it was two or more street animals, so after some discussions and with so many wonderful entries in the other 3 categories, the decision was made to chose an additional ‘joint 3rd place’ in each of those categories instead.

As promised, we have an overall winner who will also receive a trophy – another round of applause please for Mary Bentley and her photo of Amber, taken the day after Mary decided to adopt her in Kalkan and start the rehoming process. Amber has now been in the UK for over 6 months and is a constant joy to Mary and her family.

Massive congratulations to all our winners and our grateful thanks to everyone who took the time to enter, every penny raised will go towards helping the cats and dogs in Kalkan.
