Georgia’s Skydive Sponsorship

When it comes to doing mad things to raise money for charity, throwing yourself from an aeroplane at 10000+ft has to be right up there near the top of the list. However that is exactly what our supporter Georgia has decided to do in August this year. Here she explains why she chose to raise money for KAPSA with this personal challenge.

“Hi. My name is Georgia and on the 31st of August I am going to be doing a skydive to raise money for a charity close to my heart called KAPSA. KAPSA is the Kalkan Association for Protection of Street Animals. They specialise in the care/treatments of the local street dogs/cats. They rely on donations to keep the charity going and do a fantastic job in doing so. All their work is carried out by a committed team of volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the welfare of the dogs and cats on the streets. I’ve visited Kalkan many times as we have a place out there, and witnessed first hand the care and love they provide. Without KAPSA I dread to think of the condition these gorgeous animals may be in. They go out of their way to feed/spay/neuter/provide veterinary treatment and most of all give love to these animals. They also aid in getting them forever homes all over Turkey, the UK and Europe. A truly creditable charity and I would like to raise at least £500 to help them, but better still if we could smash that and truly make a difference to them.
