Can You Offer Portakal a Home – ADOPTED

This dog now has a home, thank you for your interest and please do continue to check back and consider supporting KAPSA’s work with a donation

Portakal is a lovely little girl who was recently rescued and is currently in foster care while her Anaplasmosis is treated [a very curable tick-borne blood disease, if caught early enough]. However, she really does need a loving home of her own to look forward to.

She was living in the forest between Yesilkoy and Akbel and has had puppies rescued but catching her took rather longer. Gulfem spent a long time visiting and gaining her confidence. However, now she is in foster care, it turns out she is a real sweetheart who is good with other dogs, cats and kids. Doesn’t bark much at the moment, and is very happy to play with her foster carers young son. He gave her the name ‘Portakal’, the Turkish word for orange.

This girl is approx 1.5 – 2 years old, and once her Anaplasmosis has cleared up, she will be spayed and vaccinated. She can be adopted in Turkey or abroad and is a small/medium sized dog.

So, if you have a small, Portakal sized space in your heart and your home for this lovely little girl, please get in touch with us via the contact page, or speak to Michelle Farley via our Animals Needing Homes Facebook group.
